Description

Sire Line

Fidertanz

Fidertanz was the absolute shining star at the 14th NRW main approval in 2004. He left the scene with standing ovations as the undisputed Champion Stallion. Three exceptional basic paces, caution and ability at the fence, an easy going temperament and an exterior that leaves nothing to be desired left no doubt that he was the justified winner. His sire, Fidermark, won his performance test and has won the Bundeschampionat, Optimum and Grand Prix. Grandsire, Ravallo, also won his performance test with an index of 155 (dressage 157.52 – 1st place, jumping 127.5 – 5th place). Frühlingstraum II is deemed one of the pillars of Wesphalian breeding and through Romadour II, Fidermark is inbred three times to founding stallion, Ramzes x. Findertanz's dam, granddam and great granddam were State Premium mares and competed in final rings. This dam line has produced numerous licensed sons and many of their offspring are successful up to advanced level in sport.

Florestan I

Origin: The sire of Florestan I, Fidelio, used to be one of the most popular Rhineland stallions for many years. The dam, State Premium Mare Raute, was the Rhineland Champion Broodmare of her age class. In 1983, she won the German Broodmare Show in Verden, and in 1986, she came first in the contest for young German broodmares in Aachen. In 1990, Raute gave birth to the younger full brother Florestan II, who also went to the State Stud in Warendorf. The granddam, State Premium Mare Gode, is a full sister to the sire Gardist (Warendorf State Stud). The origins of this Hanoverian line of the mare Erlenklette (by Erfolg-Allwieder-Alderich-Obersherif) go back to the old-established Hanigsen Station. It also brought forth the 1998 Bundeschampion, Roman Nature, and the stallions Don Fuego (USA), Lugato (Warendorf State Stud), Pollignac (private stallion Rhineland) und Stensbeck (NED).

Performance record: Florestan I won the approval of the Rhineland breeding region in Aachen in 1988. In the following year, he also emerged victorious from the stallion performance test of the Warendorf State Stud's stallions.

Breeding record: Florestan I was the number one of North Rhine-Westphalia's stallions. He has produced 75 approved sons, including Fidermark I, runner-up of the North Rhine-Westphalian approval, who became Bundeschampion of four-year old stallions in 1996 and who had successes in the dressage sport up to Grand Prix level. Florestan I disposes of an outstanding hereditary power, which is proven by his many successful offspring, such as the Bun-deschampionat constestant Farce (1994 Vice Champion of four-year-olds), Ferrara S/Isabell Werth (1996 Bundeschampion of five-year old dressage horses), the Burgpokal finalist Ferryman/Dorothee Schneider, the approved stallion Furstenreich/Emma Hindle and the Grand Prix dressage horses Floriano/Steffen Peters/USA (team bronze and sixth in the individuals at the 2006 World Dressage Championship), Floriano's full brother Floriano Deux NRW/Nicole Glaser-Kappeler or Forest Gump NRW/Hubertus Schmidt. His offspring is also successful in show jumping, e.g. the approved Focus/Heinrich-Wilhelm Johannsmann, Formidable/Daniel DeuKer and Fouquet/Francois Kasselmann. The 2003 and 2004 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden became mere Tlorestan I festivals' - In 2003, Fiirst Heinrich, who won the Main Premium in Oldenburg in 2002, was victorious in the contest for five-year old dressage horses. In 2004, his sons Florencio I (Main Premium Stallion in the category for dressage-oriented stallions in Oldenburg 2004) and French Kiss (Bundeschampion in 2002) were heading the field. In 2005, Florencio I won again in the class for six-year-olds. Florestan's daugter Fleur Rubin, Reserve Champion of the 2003 Westphalian Elite Broodmare Show, was sold for the record-breaking price of 320,000 Euros to the Max-Theurer/AUT dressage stables. In 2004, Florestan I presented the Reserve Champion of the Westphalian Elite Broodmare, Feinsliebchen, and Rosalie VI became the Holsteiner Reserve Champion Mare in Elmshorn, while in 2002, his daughter Oviane had already been selected as the best-moving Holsteiner horse there. In 2006, his daughter First Lady became the Reserve Champion Mare in Westphalia.

Ravallo

Ravallo finished his Stallion Performance Test with the highest total score ever in 1988 at Medingen: Dressage index 157,52, Jumping index 127,74, Total score 155,43. He is known for passing on his excellent trainability and personality. After he entered breeding only in 1993 he produced 12 SPA/SPS, 4 licensed sons and 8 Verden elite auction candidates.

His most successful progeny are Ravallo-B, Radjana 7, Ribana and Royal Lady who have won more than 1000 DM price money during the 2000 show season in both dressage and jumping. According to 2001 Hanoverian stallion book (based on inspection and MPT results of his daughters) his breed value is estimated remarkably high in both the dressage and jumping department: 128/125.

He is also improving breed type and limbs (indices 104/129) according to the same GhV stallion book. As Ravallo crosses best with a TB influenced marebase we crossed him with Riehe Farms Grace by Gotenkönig - Perser due in May 2001 and our elegant Esperanza by Escudo I - Lugano II in 2001 resulting in foals Reunion and Retina.

Raphael

Origin: Ramiro is perhaps the only German sire who succeeded in having two similarly successful careers - first a successful showjumper and then a successful sire. He was reserve champion of the stallion approval, won the stallion performance test and international advanced showjumping competitions (F. Ligges). His 50 approved sons are spread all over Germany. He sired quite a number of valuable broodmares and high-performance horses (Fatiniza, Ramzes, Rosella etc.). His progeny winnings amount to more than 1 million DM). Raphael's dam Annekatrin also produced the young approved stallion Raphaelo (who sired Rafina, who was sold through the 1990 P.S.I.) and the competition horse Rosina.

Breeding record: Raphael began his stud career in the north of the Oldenburg breeding area, where rather different mares were sent to him. Nevertheless, he was placed at the top of his age-group according to his first crop's winnings. Three of his offspring qualified for the German Championships in Verden: Rising Star (showjumping), Raggazzo and Raphael's Lady (dressage). The latter one was one of the top-priced lots of the 1988 Vechta auction (called "Royal Ascot" she was sold for 52,000 DM) and later on she was sold through the P.S.I, again. In 1987 Raphaela was sold for 64,000 DM through the Vechta auction. Since 1986 Raphael has been standing near Hamburg, not far from the main Hanoverian breeding area. From this period date 10 of his 11 approved sons, above all Ravallo, who caused a stir at the 1988 stallion approval in Verden and won the 1989 stallion performance test in Medingen. He is the dam-sire of the very popular Wittinger, who was champion of the approval and won the stallion performance test as well as the Federal Championships.

Dam Line

World Cup I

Origin: His sire Woermann produced leading young stallions and the later performance winners Wenzel I and World Cup I right in his first two years of breeding - and became immediately popular. 26 further certified stallions followed, 42 state premium mares (including the DLG Reserve Champion mare Worena) and a great number of good dressage horses (in 1990 14th place in dressage winnings in the FN statistics). The combination Woermann and Sendernixe was without doubt a fitting match. All of the first four colts were certified and successful at the stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf. World Cup I, II (Uphusen) and III (Sudstedt) have become state-owned stallions, World Cup IV was sent to Canada. The rare breeding success is well founded: Sender presented 24 certified stallions, among them the DLG stallion Soldner and the very good sire of show jumpers Saloniki, as well as 27 state premium mares (including four DLG show mares); in competition his off-spring won a good 886,000 DM as of 1989, mostly in jumping. Lugano I was probably the best son of the legendary Der Lowe xx and presented 40 certified stallions, among them 10 state-owned sires -including the DLG stallion Leibwachter.

Performance record: World Cup was the stallion performance test winner and the best stallion of his year. At DLG exhibitions he represented his breeding area -1984 in Frankfurt, 1986 in Hanover, each time very successfully as Reserve Champion.

Breeding record: In 1986 in Hanover his daughter Walencia became a DLG Champion mare as well. Of his 16 certified stallions, five were taken by the State Stud: Walt Disney (Cappel Strich), Warkant (Beedenbostel), Weltmeyer (Ankum), Wogenspieler (Hohnstorf) and Woodstock. The certification winner Weltmeyer (page 336) caused quite a stir in 1987 at the German Championships for German Riding Horses in Vechta when he was chosen the best3-year old and in 1989 as DLG Champion stallion in Frankfurt. Walt Disney also placed high at the German Riding Horse Championships in Mannhaim, 1989.

Romadour II

Romadour II is one of the most significant of modern Westphalian sires. In 1976, Romadour II represented the Westphalien studbook at the DLG Exhibition in Munich, where he was awarded the 1-a winner’s prize, while his daughters, Riviera and Ranja were awarded the 1-a and 1-b distinction respectively in the three year old class. Nicole Uphoff’s Rembrandt is, of course, the most famous of Romadour II’s progeny, and his breeding sons, Renoir I and Rosenkavalier have continued to pass on his legacy, most notably through Rubinstein and his sons.
