Origin: His sire Contender began his siring career in Oldenburg and left absolutely top quality sports horses and outstanding stallion sons such as for instance, Controe and Montender there, just as he later did in his Holstein home. The dam Fair Lady IX is a daughter of Carolus I. Carolus I began his stallion career as an Association stallion in Holstein before changing over to Baden-Wiirttemberg from where, he was quickly led to international wins and placements by the Swiss Nation's Cup rider Stefan Lauber and later by Hans-Peter Konle. In 1995 and 1996, Carolus I presented a large line-up of qualifiers for the Federal Championships, including a number of finalists such as Carmen, the winner of the semi-finals, who achieved the score of 9.5. Carolus belongs to the leading Holstein stallions nation-wide as regards his FN breeding value rating for jumping. Landgraf I, the most successful sire of sports horses of all time, makes an appearance in the third generation. Bloodline 2966 also produced the approved stallions Carlsson (private stallion Holstein) and Expose (leased stallion Neustadt/Dosse state stud).
Performance record: Following his stallion performance test, Con Air went into sport parallel to his siring career. He was victorious in show jumper tests up to intermediate class a number of times under Tina Vesterlund. Obtaining scores of 9.0 and more. In addition to that, he participated in the Federal German Show jumping Championship. Performs at international level
Contender
Contender is the sire of Montender, ridden by Marco Kutscher, winners of Olympic Bronze Team Medal 2004. Also Controe who is a stallion and International Show Jumper ridden by Marco Kutscher. Contender is one of the most popular sires in Germany at the moment (2005). Conterno Grande and Cordobes 1 & 11 and Contendro. Contando is now in the US being used as a breeding stallion.

Cor De La Bryere
Cor De La Bryere most influential Sires in Holstein. Bred in France with a presence of thoroughbred, he started a new breeding era in Holstein by dramatically improving the jumping equine especially in the front legs. Some of his Stallions Sons are Corrado, Caletto 1, Caletto 2, Caletto 3, Calypso1 – V ( five brothers all graded Calando 1 –V ).
Landgraf I
Landgraf I, was a prize-money millionaire and at the same time a legendary breeding stallion. He is today considered as the world's best jumper sire of all times. From todays point of view, the damsire, Landgraf I, is the most successful sire of show jumpers of all times. His best-known offspring include Taggi/Soren von Ronne, the licensed Libero H/Jos Lansink (1994 World Cup Champion), Leandra and Lucky Luke/Otto Becker, Lovely Boy/Norbert Koof, Lagretto/Carsten-Otto Nagel, Lassandro/Soren von Rb'nne, Landega/Helena Weinberg and many others, who have won over 4.4 million Euros up to now. Landgraf I sired more than 100 stallion sons.

Ahorn
Ahorn was bred by the legendary breeder Wiepke van der Lageweg by Nimmerdor. His dam was Hyazinthe who was an own daughter of Ladykiller who is featured elsewhere on this web site. Hyazinthe was the sort of mare that most breeders dream about - the sort of mare that a wise breeder can use to establish a dynasty . Not only is Hyazinthe the dam of Ahorn but also the dam to 2 national show jumpers and 3 International competitors. Ahorn was a reputable show jumping horse and his abilities earned him the title 'Olympic' when he was short listed for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. He frequently jumped in the World Cup and Grand Prix competitions. Not only was he a prolific show jumper on the International circuit , but he then went on to become a top sire renowned for being a producer of quality sports horses. One recently famous son is the jumping sensation AK High Valley Z. High Valley Z was bred by Mr. P S Koopman from Bozum. This horse, ridden by Jos Lansink, won the Dutch National Title
Nimmerdor
Nimmerdor represents one of the most influential 'founding' sires of the Dutch Warmblood - Farn. Farn was born in Holstein and descends from the Achill or 'F' line that began in 1877. Next to the Ethelbert line, it is the oldest Holsteiner stallion line. Farn himself left only a few offspring in Holstein, and his description in the official Holstein stallion book is less than glowing: 'Somewhat unharmonious stallion with a lovely head carriage. Built slightly 'down hill', good shoulder, flat back, heavily padded loin. Heavy bone, weak pasterns. Good mover.' At his performance test in 1975, Nimmerdor starred in the jumping, but even then required a rider who took charge, and only scored a 7 for character because of this attitude. He started jumping with Bert Romp, and went on to an international career with Albert Voorn, competing in Berlin, Paris, Goteborg, Dortmund and London. He was selected for the Los Angeles Olympics, but his owner, Weipke van der Lageweg decided he should stay home and concentrate on his breeding activities. As a sire, Nimmerdor has been equally successful, even before he retired from the competition arena, his progeny were starting to make their way through the ranks. Nimmerdor was ranked 29th on the World Breeding Federation ranking for the period 1992/2001 on the basis of a staggering 42(!) international level jumpers. These include such stars as Himmerdor with Paul Freimüller, Broere Goldenbridge and Wout-Jan Van der Schans, Heartbreaker and Peter Geerink and Canadian Colours and Jill Henselwood. Nimmerdor has proven himself to be the sire of sires.At the time of his death he left 18 approved sons, and 37 approved grandsons. His son Aram was the sire of Olympic gold medalist, De Sjiem, and two stallion sons - Faram and Graham. His son, Ahorn after a successful international jumping career, went on to sire current jumping sensation AK High Valley Z, the recent winner of the TNT Sires of the Century competition for the second year running. Ahorn sired five approved sons, including Furore, Hattrick and Matterhorn. His son, Goodtimes, produced the approved stallions Kalusha, Londontimes, Kenwood and Sydney. Another son, Wellington produced Emilion and Glennridge. Other stallion sons of Nimmderdor include: Daimler, N-Aldato, Heartbreaker, Zadock, Nandor, Fortuna, Coronel, Amethist, Nimrod B, Norman and Night and Day. In 2000, Nimmerdor was elected 'the stallion of the 20th century' in the Netherlands
Doruto
Doruto is considered to be one of the most influential dressage sires of all time. Unlike the Amor offspring who were flashy and showy from a young age, the Doruto offspring were often plain in appearance, with common heads and ordinary movement. However, as these offspring matured, their desire to please the rider and ease in the FEI movements became apparent. Gert van der Veen described Doruto offspring in an article for a Dutch magazine. "The Doruto offspring have such a character. Even though they are not duds, they allow themselves to be worked- they do not oppose to the input of the rider. One of the essential traits for a dressage horse is that he must be able to easily handle the physical demands of the sport... They are very trainable. They allow themselves, some a little earlier than others, to become gymnasts. They don't break down mentally and they stay happy." Some of the notable international Doruto offspring from the 1980s and 1990s include Ideaal (ridden by Jo Hinneman, trainer of Olympic Ferro, to numerous German, European and World Championships), Olympic Barbria (1996 Team Silver Medal at the Olympics), Urion, (ridden by Nadine Capellmann, World Champion) and Heruto (Grand Prix horse under Coby van Baalen).
Enfant de Normandie
Enfant de Normandie was an excellent broodmare sire. His maternal grandson, John E. M. (by Jasper out of Zeggy (Enfant de Normandie)) helped the United States Win the Nations Cup in Norway under rider Candice King of Wellington, FL.
