Origin: The sire, Coriano, a stallion of the Holsteiner Verband, was leased to Baden-Wurttemberg for a two-years period. In 1996, he took second place under Bo Kristoffersen/DEN at the Bundeschampionat of six-year old show jumpers. At the age of seven, he had placings up to Grand Prix level. In late 2002, Coriano was leased to the Belgian studfarm of Zangersheide and won the Young Riders Championships under Judy Ann Melchior. In 2004, he returned to Holstein. Coriano has produced 17 licensed sons and numerous successful jumper offspring, such as the Jumping Team World Champion Schijndel's Curtis/Piet Ray-makers/NED. The dam, Gea, placed in tests for young jumpers up to intermediate (M) level. From today's point of view, the damsire, Landgraf I, is the most successful sire of show jumpers of all times. His best offspring include Taggi/Sb'ren von Ronne, the licensed Libero H/Jos Lansink (1994 World Cup Champion), Leandra and Lucky Luke/Otto Becker, Lovely Boy/Norbert Koof, Lagretto/Carsten-Otto Nagel, Lassandro/Sb'ren von Ronne, Landega/Helena Weinberg and many others, who have won over 4.4 million Euros of prize money. Landgraf I sired more than 100 stallion sons. He is, moreover, the damsire of the current Jumping World Champion, Cavalor Cumano/Jos Lansink/BEL The granddam, Bea I, also produced the S* jumper Charlton Beach (Capitol I) and the two M/A jumpers Lauser and Olora as well as the mare Laraner, who later became the dam of the M jumper Coco Cardoso (by Capitalist). Bea I is a half-sister to the two M jumpers Corbian (by Calypso II) and Lancer (by Leonid). Cor de la Bryere, who appears in the third generation, was one of the most important foundation sires of Holsteiner breeding after the Second World War. Holsteiner line 1916 also produced the stallions A l'Amour, Arturo, Clearway, Controe, Conway, Format, Herold, Laissez faire, Lord Inkognito, Malteser, Maron, Merano I, Mowgli and Tesino as well as the dressage team gold winner of the Olympics in Tokio/JPN in 1964, Antoinette (by Anblick xx)/Dr. Josef Neckermann.

Performance record: Chadron Quainton was licensed at the 2nd South German Stallion Days in Munich-Riem in 2005 and in the same year, he completed the performance test as runner-up in Marbach, receiving high scores in dressage and jumping. In the meantime, he has won tests for young jumpers with Ben Maher/GBR, including the Championship for four-year old show jumpers in Britain.

Caretino

The Holstein champion stallion of 1980 Caletto II, is an almost perfect personification of the Holstein breeding goal: Noble and expressive in type, long-bodied, with correct conformation, excellent basic gaits and exceptional jumping ability. Caretino's dam Isidor is a cousin of Marengo via Metellus and is furthermore, a great-grandchild of the famous sire of show jumpers Manometer xx. Aldato in the third generation was a highly successful sire of broodmares.

Caretino convinced at his stallion performance test, primarily by his superb jumping ability, for which he was awarded the scores of 9.0 and 9.5 and which was corroborated by the score of 9.0 for "general performance". In 1989 he won the Holstein Show jumping Championships, thereby qualifying himself for the German Federal Championship in Mannheim, where he won a competition. In 1990 he already attained his first placements in advanced show jumping competitions. After that, Caretino had international successes under Bo Kristoffersen, coming fourth with the Danish team in the 1992 Nation's Cup in Gera. He moreover achieved a total of 40 placements, both nationally and internationally in 1992, together with his rider Bo Kristoffersen. Caretino and Bo Kristoffersen once again made the headlines in 1993. Then, in early 1994, Caretino was taken over by Ludger Beerbaum, with whom he also achieved great international successes.

Caretino belongs to the established circle of sires of the Holstein Breeder's Association. He is one of the most manifold sires of his breed, providing promising offspring of the highest standards, equally well for dressage and show jumping. This has placed him in a high position in the FN breeding value rating. His son Carpaccio won the 1994 stallion performance test in Medingen and is successful in dressage competitions. The approved stallion Concord has had advanced level dressage wins up to Grand Prix. Cheenook and Caretello B have likewise developed into first class makers of show jumpers. The better known showjumpers by Caretino include Ballerina 124, Cathleen W, Caresino, Celestino R, Charett. Charlottenhof' s Chandra, Easter 2, Pikeur Carlo Cassini, as well as the approved stallions Caretano Z and Caridor Z (both with Jos Lansink). Ballerina, ridden by Markus Merschformann, belonged to the victorious German team at the European Show jumping Championship in Mannheim in 1997 and Charlottenhof's Chandra was ridden by Soren von Ronne in the German Nation's Cup team. The Caretino son Cockney was the federal champion six-year-old dressage horse in Warendorf in 1997. under the saddle of Nadine Capellmann and is meanwhile enjoying successes up to Grand Prix. In 1998 Caretino was the sire of the Bavarian approvals winner Clintino, who is covering in Oldenburg. Capitol I

His sire Capitano is the only stallion to maintain the sire line of Cottage Son xx until this day which is probably due to his excellent dam, the famous Retina by Ramzes. Ridden by F. Thiedemann she won e.g. the Hamburg Showjumping Derby. Capitol is a descendant of one of the best Holstein lines: His dam Folia is endowed with an enormous jumping ability and produced several approved stallions, i.e. Latus I and II, Cellebrio and Capitol II, as well as the state premium mares Kausa, Lektion (a successful eventer under I. Dehn) and U-Capitola, the dam of the approved stallion Lord Capitol. The grandam Vase (by Ramzes), who produced i.a. the approved stallions Grand Vikar and Montreal, was a full-sister to Romanus, a German top showjumper under H.G. Winkler between 1959 and 1965 (e.g. placed in the European Championships three times). Capitol is the sire of many international top showjumpers like e.g. Corso (W. Melliger, Switzerland), J.R. Number One (USA), Caruso Rex, Calle and Cincinatti (W. Peters), who is the dam of the young stallion Coriall.
