Sire Line
Cassini II
Cassini II is generally regarded as a better jumper. He is very interesting as a full brother to Cassini 1 the well known International jumping horse under (Franke Sloothak) one of the most popular Stallions in Holsteiner today.
Capitol 1
Capitol 1 foundation Sire in Holstein stud book is Sire of Calato, Cassini, Carthago.
Calato is a son of the sire of show jumpers Capitol I, who passed on not only his grey coat to many of his progeny, but also his exceptionally great apitude for jumping. Calato was bred out of a daughter of the Holstein sire of the century, Landgraf 1, who when measured by the life winnings sum of his progeny alone, perpetually leads the breeding value rating as the best hereditary transmitter of show jumpers.
The premium stallion Landgraf I, who passed away at the age of 30 years, already had a monument erected to him during his own lifetime. Calypso 1 in the third generation, like next to no other Holstein stallion, presented exceedingly versatile progeny, including i.e., the dressage horses Commodore 14/W. Aigner and Campari 26/Dr. R. Kilmke, but also top show jumers such as Calando 14/B. Nagel.
The significance of Calypso 1 for breeding is attested year in, year out, by overwhelming values in the FN breeding value rating. Apart from Calato, bloodline474 also produced the stallions Aldato/E. Hendrix (Netherlands), Colombo, Cicero and Nimrod B.
Cassini 1 - International jumping horse one of the most popular Stallions of all time Cassini 1 ridden by (Franke Sloothak) in Holstein today. Cassini I is a son of the sire of show jumpers Capitol I, who passed on his trademark, the grey coloured coat to a lot of his off spring. Capitol I made the colour "white" fashionable again in Holstein comparable in the way Gotthard did in Hanover. His progeny caused a sensation as show jumpers and the mating blend with mares with a high proportion of thoroughbred blood proved to be beneficial. A significant number of interesting young stallions sired by him, were approved over the past few years. Cassini I is out of a dam by the ideal "Holstein stallion Caletto II, who unfortunately had a fatal accident after only four seasons at stud.
This stallion was already very popular during his lifetime and his hereditary transmission to his progeny is living proof that he was not overrated. His progeny belonged to the best on the show jumping class ever. The daughter Classic touch, who was ridden by Ludger Beerbaum, was the sovereign gold medal winner at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, thereby adding to his glory as a sire of performance horses. The large framed Mahmud with his quality in motion, adds the valuable up graded blood of Marlon xx to Cassini I's pedigree.
The dam Wisma produced another approved grey coated stallion in 1996, Cassini II, who is also owned by the Holstein Association. The dam line furthermore also produced the stallions Caleri and Lovari. Performance Record: Cassini I absolved his stallion performance test in performance class I and was thereafter successfully promoted in show jumping competitions by Bo Kristoffersen of Denmark. He won show jumper competitions at intermediate level almost in series. In 1994 he was a placed contestant at the Federal German Show jumping Championship. Thereafter he was taken over by Franke Sloothaak, upon which he had numerous international placements, including i.e, winning the Arnheim Grand Prix and wins in Nation's Cups as well as placements in World Cup show jumping events. Breeding Record: nine approved stallions have to date been registered of Cassini I's progeny in diverse breeding regions. His son Candillo won the 1996 stallion performance test in Medingen and is a successful international show jumper.
Cassini I has already presented numerous Federal Championship contestants in show jumping, but his exceedingly rideable progeny have also done him honour in the dressage sport. Many of his off spring are doing well in sport. In 2002 alone, 35 Cassinin I progeny had placements in advanced class.
Carthago Internal riding horse ridden by Jos Lansink now one of the top sires in Holstein.
Dam Line
Carthago
Seven Capitol offspring qualified for the Federal Championships of Showjumpers in Verden in 1992 including Carthago and his full-sister Cover Girl. On the one hand this emphasizes the importance of Capitol as a sire of showjumpers, but on the other hand it shows the quality of Perra as a dam of performance horses. Her sire Calando I was an international showjumper himself (ridden by K. Huck and E.H. Clipper/Belgium) and enjoys a good reputation as a sire of showjumpers (e.g. the Olympic horse Careful/E. Blaton). Perra also produced the competition-proven Lord Calando (by Lord), who presented his first approved sons, and the state premium mare Diamond Lady. The great-granddam Fangelika (by Consul, the sire of Granat) produced the showjumper stallion Celio and the successful advanced showjumper Ulika J. Via Calando I Fangelika is the granddam of the young stallion Cascavelle. The dam-line has number 162 as in many other outstanding Holstein performers: e.g. the eventer Santiago (H. Rethemeyer), the international dressage horse and former top-priced lot Sando Khan (K. Husenbeth), the Grand Prix dressage horse Marquis (I. von Wendorff) and the current top-winner of Holstein, the jumping stallion Lacros (D. Schroder).
His special ability was already obvious at the stallion performance test. He scored 9.5 for loose jumping and 10.0 for jumping ability in training - results that are not often achieved. Thanks to his remarkable jumping ability he entered the finals of the 1992 Federal Championships in Verden (ridden by B. Kristofferson).

Calypso I
The French stallion Cor de la Bryere became a foundation sire of modem Holstein breeding: Among his progeny there are successful stallions such as Calando I, Caletto I and Caletto II, Calypso I-V, Corvado,Cantaresand Cinzano and top-class mares (e.g. Cordeka, Chanel) and above all versatile performance horses, e.g. Chica W, CalandoPS (showjumping), Cor de Calypso, Contrast (eventing), Corlandus (dressage). Calypso's dam also produced the approved stallions Calypso Il-Vwho are all top sires - or at least they are going to be top sires. Calypso II and III are winners of advanced showjumping competitions. Their brother Cor de Calypso, who was not approved, became a successful eventing horse. Via Tabelle'sfull-sister Salmei the granddam Hyazinthe is also granddam to the exceptional dressage horse Granat (Chr.Stuckelberger,Switzerland). Hergreat-grandson Calgarywon the National Eventing Horse Championships in Verden in 1990 (H. Blbcker).
Calypso I sired 13 approved stallions by 1990. Carprilli and mainly Columbus have already been very successful at stud. Among his 47 state premium mares the most outstanding mare is Zinnia: winner of the Holstein Championships of Materialpferde, champion mare of the 1988 elite-mare show in Elmshom, winner of her class atthe German Show in Verden in 1990. His most successful competition horses at the moment are: Cabinett 3 (showjumping, D. Schroder, winnings about DM 100,000, i.a. placed in the German Showjumping Derby) and Commodore 7 (dressage, W. Aigner, winnings over DM 75,000, many times successfully competing in Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special). In 1989 Camaro 21 was placed in 10 advanced showjumping competitions, Caprice 46 won her first PrixSt. Georges atthe age of 8. Caspar won the National Championships of 6-year-old German Showjumpers.
