Description

Mike and Emma Phillips owners of Quainton Stud decided to invest in Robin Hood in the spring of 2008, Robin Hood was a10-year-old gelding then owned by rider/producer Lara Abraham. Ben Maher had been just one of a number of riders who had expressed an interest in the horse. However, Lara was determined to keep hold of the son of Animo, whom she'd owned since a four-year old, until a change in her personal circumstances meant she felt she could not do Robin's potential justice

Quainton Stud and Ben bought Robin Hood in June 2008 and the new partnership immediately started performing on the international circuit with major wins and placings.

Performance Record

In December 2008, Robin secured Olympia's leading rider award for Ben after the pair were runners-up in the final day's grand prix. 2009 has been a big year for Robin Hood, his numerous successes and wins throughout the World have seen him quickly climb the official British Show Jumping Association Rankings and he finishes the year as the Leading British Show Jumping Horse of 2009.
