Cover King
Chateau de Brion’s recent approval and licence by Holsteiner Verband has made the front cover of Horse Health magazine. Horse Health magazine is incredibly popular with industry professionals and subscribers include Andrew Hoy and Richard Davidson. The magazine is mailed out to 10,000 (ABC audited) readers every month.
A large picture of Ben Maher jumping Chateau de Brion was also included on the front cover with the article about Chateau’s recent Holstein licence. The May issue with Chateau de Brion as the cover story is available on request at www.horsehealthmagazine.co.uk
18th June 2007 - Kampfer wins at East of England
Kampfer Quainton has just won the B&C Handicap class at the East of England Show. Kampfer is a fantastic stallion with wonderful scope and power. He is a large horse with excellent balance that helps him cover a lot of ground and no doubt helped him to triumph in this large and hard fought contest. Ben Maher rode Kampfer at the East of England and together they win in the B&H Handicap class and added this win to their tally of excellent jumping achievements.
Quirifino's Popular with H&H
Quirifino Quianton is popular with Horse and Hound magazine. In the most recent issue of the national weekly news magazine, Quirifino's recent successes are featured in two of the prominent show reviews. The first is on page 34 and records the close run contest at Unex Towerlands for qualification to HOYS. Quirifino only just missed out and produced one of the most memorable rounds of the show. The second snippet highlighted that Quirifino Quainton was the only British horse placed at the recent Hamberg Derby.
Rosette Girl (or Boy) Wanted
Horse and Pony magazine are running a competition in their current issue for one lucky reader to become the Rosette girl or boy at the Quainton Stud Grand Prix Show. Quainton Stud are offering one lucky winner an amazing opportunity to meet some of the countries leading show jumpers, look around our stud and assist in the presentations to the winners.

Quainton Show Takes Off!
Due to fantastic demand the Quainton Stud Grand Prix show is now being held over two days, Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st July. All affiliated riders are welcome to compete with classes starting with Newcomers up to 1.30m on Monday 30th July.
The action on Tuesday 31st July will kick off with the 1.30m Open with £500 to the winner followed by what is set to be a thrilling Speed Trial before the Country’s finest battle for the £5000 first prize in the Quainton Stud Grand Prix.
Prize money goes to eighth place in all classes and all jumping will take place on the Stud’s Charles Britton surfaces.
TV crews will be on site to record the action for Horse and Country TV who are producing a documentary style programme showing excitement from the showjumping and a look behind the scenes at the stud and the show.
Visitors have their own chance to tour the stud with Stud Manager Vanessa Wright at 2.30pm, 3.30pm and 4.30pm on Tuesday afternoon, 31st July. Plus, all the Quainton stallions can be seen on parade during a lunch break on the Tuesday. With several of their stallions leased to the German State Stud this season, this is a unique opportunity to catch all of them in the UK.
Admittance is completely free for spectators on 30th July or just £10 per car on Tuesday, with no limit to the number of occupants.
Quainton Stud Goes Global!
After the successful sale of some of our wonderful hunter and jumper horses to the United States, Quainton Stud have teamed up with a well known rider/trainer in California who currently has in his yard a wonderful selection of our horses. They include Lucerne/Connell and Crosby (Caretello B) Those clients in America who wish to view and try these horses, should contact Emma Phillips to arrange a trial.

3rd May 2007 - Chateau de Brion in H&H
Chateau de Brion's recent licensing to Germany's Holsteiner Verband made the national news pages of Horse and Hound magazine. Featuring in the the Sporthorse/breeding pages of the largest weekly equestrian magazine for Great Britain, Chateau and Quainton Studs achievements were recognised.
18th April 2007 - UK Stallion Licensed to Holsteiner Verband Chateau De Brion
Chateau de Brion has TODAY (18/04/07) been licenced by Holsteiner Verband as a registered and approved Holstein stallion.
Quainton Stud, presented Chateau de Brion, a young stallion, to Holsteiner Verband in Germany on the 17-18th April '07. After serious scrutiny and assessment he was selected as one of only seven stallions to be approved and licenced as a true stallion of the Holstein breed.
Chateau de Brion was the only British owned stallion approved and it is very rare for a British stud to be able to get their stallion graded at Holsteiner Verband and to become Holsteiner Verband approved is an incredible achievement and honour.
Ben Maher, who trains and competes Chateau de Brion, presented the stallion on behalf of Quainton Stud. The approved and licenced Holstein stallion will now return to Ben's yard to continue his training as an International showjumper while remaining available for stud services.

Lancelot Quainton won his first show jumping at The Great Hall Competition, Moritzburg with 8.0 points.
16th March 2007 - Heading to Italy
Ben Maher has taken Avanti Quainton, Chateau de Brion and Quirifino Quainton onto the Arezzo - Spring Toscana Tour with him in Italy. The exciting Spring CSI*** tour brings together some of the best show jumping combinations from around the world.
For the next three weeks Ben will compete Quainton Stallions and his own horses (a mixture of young and mature show jumping horses) throughout the week in a wide range of show jumping classes.
Quainton Stud will be heading out at various times in the next few weeks to support Ben and we will keep you updated of his progress and any exciting results.
1st March 2007 - Cover Star
Chadron Quainton appeared on the front cover of Equestrian Monthly magazine's March issue. The popular regional magazine's stallion issue featured Quainton Stud's own Chadron Quainton proudly on the front cover. The picture was taken at Ben Maher's yard where Chadron is currently training and based.
Since the issue has been published, Barnsby Saddlery (who also sponsor Ben) have requested use of the picture for their own promotional acivities as Chadron Quainton is wearing one of their bridles.
The stunning picture has been popular amongst readers and Equestrian Monthly say the front cover has had an excellent response. All of Quainton Stud's stallions featured in this years Equestrian Monthly Stallion Guide 2007.
