Robin Hood Takes Fourth in World Cup Qulaifier

Ben Maher and Robin Hood (owned by Quainton Stud) scored some valuable World Cup points for the final in Geneva in April. They were clear and through to the nail-biting finale, finishing best of the Brits and fourth in the competition.

"I was quite quick over the first three fences in the jump-off, but perhaps a bit slow on my turn to the oxer. It would have been nice to have a win on home ground.” Said Ben after the class.

Wonderboy proves his name is fitting at Olympia

Quianton Stud’s Wonderboy III lived up to his name at Olympia yesterday and produced jaw-dropping leaps to take the £14,500 top prize in the Renault Christmas Masters at the London International Horse Show at Olympia.

At 18 hands Wonderboy is a dominant force and his incredible leaps certainly helped him clear the poles on a course that by the final round included one jump that stood 1.73 metres high!

As the rounds progressed and the fences rose, the contenders, including world No 4 Pius Schwizer, from Switzerland, made errors that saw them rack up faults and drop out of contention. With only four left in contention, including Michael Whitaker, Ellen took to the ring for what would be the final round, but took down the last. In the end it was only Maher, who jumped clear with Wonderboy growing in confidence with every jump.
