Quainton Stud
Livery Facilties at Quainton Stud
Stud Facilities

We can offer grazing and grass livery for horses and ponies at rest, in rehabilitation, retirement or a well deserved holiday. Grass livery and winter barning is also available for overnight stays.

We have 250 acres of beautiful post and rail fenced paddocks. Each field is designed without corners or sharp edges. The automatic watering facilities are shaped in a way so that the water refills whilst the horse drinks, but there is no stagnant water or sharp edges. It’s also impossible for the foals/horses to get their legs caught inside.

Each field has a shelter and the grass is carefully managed being regularly swept with one of the worlds best Nicholson paddock sweeper. Manure is removed regularly, weed and thistles are controlled and the fields are rotated with sheep. The results speak for themselves, generations of prize horses and cattle have been raised on these pastures.

Horses are checked at least twice a day, those on long term turnout with us will need to be regularly wormed and vaccinated at the owners expense. We can facilitate all your horses needs such as vets and blacksmith visits.
