About Us

Quainton Stud is located only one hour from London and is set within 250 acres of beautiful paddocks, hosting state of the art facilities.

Quainton Stud enjoy alliances throughout the world and we have the in depth knowledge and experience of producing quality horses. Over the years the Quainton Stud team has been responsible for breeding, sourcing, producing and caring for horses who`s blood lines have been proven and have competed successfully at Olympic, World and European Championships.

We also host a huge range of events for all levels of riders including Showjumping, Dressage, Combined Training, and Eventing competitions plus our customised training days and residential camps take place throughout the year.

Our British Showjumping events take place between April and October. Throughout 2017, we are incredibly excited to be host to a number of HOYS and National Qualifiers, including: Pony Newcomers and Foxhunter Regional Finals, Senior Discover Regional Final, Just For Schools Direct Qualifiers and League Classes, and a whole host of Pony and Senior Scope Qualifiers.

We are also proud to offer our unaffiliated customers the opportunity to train and compete with us, and offer unaffiliated show jumping events at weekends as well as clear rounds and training shows throughout the week. Our unaffiliated show jumping aim to provide a fun and relaxed environment for adults and children alike – as well as our regular shows, we run Easter, Halloween and Christmas shows with themed fancy dress, fun classes and special prizes. Our training shows are aimed at grass roots and professionals – an excellent opportunity to compete for prize money, whilst being allowed the chance to train over our Grand Prix set of show jumps. Perfect for getting some miles on the clock before jumping under record!

Eventer’s Challenges are a firm favourite at Quainton Stud, and are held a small number of times throughout the summer season. These shows run from 60cm-1m, and involve a combination of show jumps and cross country fences – jumping from Arena to our Grass Cross Country paddock. These are great fun, and are suited for the novice and nervous to the seasoned competitor.

British Dressage shows run all year round, from Prelim to Advanced Medium at our standard shows. We do, on occasion, run classes us to PSG – so please keep an eye on our schedules for this! We have also been lucky to have the opportunity to run Young Horse and Pony Qualifiers and ROR Qualifiers. Our My Quest and Team Quest days have proven popular – these provide a great middle step for competitors between unaffiliated dressage and BD, and offer the opportunity to qualify individually or a a team for the Quest Championships.

Unaffiliated Dressage series are run in winter and summer seasons, and offer classes from Intro to PYO (Elementary and Medium level), to cater for those just starting out, to those looking to move up through the ranks. These shows are incredibly popular all year round, and we have a wonderful range of judges who enjoy watching our competitors progress from show to show!

Our popular combined training series runs from the spring to the autumn, and involves riding a dressage test before heading outside for a show jumping round. Ever-popular, these shows offer tests from Intro/60cm up to PYO (Pre/Nov/Ele)/1m.

Our superb facilities are available to hire by individuals, trainers and organisations for schooling or holding clinics and competitions.
